Tickled Ivory

This is not your typical wedding day-after shoot, which makes me more stoked to share this session with you. Previously, Heather of Gemmer Photography had wonderfully captured Stephen and Elizabeth's engagement shoot and wedding day celebration. For this occasion, we decided to pair this vintage piano find and decadent 1950's wedding gown with two other styling extremes: unruly hair and rogue makeup. I had so many great photo options to choose from- a problem that is hardly one to complain about at all!

For more piano goodness and wild mane shots, check out the Gemmer Photography blog post about this shoot here.

Jin Jin + Doan: Fall In Love

The sun shone brightly for this October wedding in the usually wet city of Portland...it doesn't take much for couple, Jin Jin and Doan, to take a good photograph but with the help of my team, photographer Choiyee and hairstylist Kellen, they look simply radiant.

Devonation + Choiyee Wong: "To Sacrifice Is To Love" Collaboration

A perfect union between fashion + art in Portland, photographer Choiyee Wong and fashion designer + professional water colorist, Devon Yan-Berrong teamed up together to create a beautiful series that exhibit their endless creativity.
If you would like to view the whole photoshoot series, check out this slideshow created by JiaHau Jan.
Last month, the team put on a fashion and gallery show at theSlate exhibiting Choiyee's photography collection as well as preview the public Devonation's 2012 line with an incredible turnout in the crowd. Here is a photo of all collaborators of the project:

A Sisterly {Bridal} Bond

Cheers to an intimate and dreamy bridal editorial inspired by photographer, Heather Gemmer's own close relationship with her beloved sisters. And who can resist the pillow fight on the beach? This shoot was also kindly featured on bridal blog "Borrowed + Bleu" and for even more visual goodness and vendor info, check out Gemmer Photography's blog!

"Hitched" Hiking

An engagement session inspired by 1950's vintage styles and enveloped by some of Oregon's finest features (green mossy rocks always get me!), here is Heather of Gemmer Photography's lovely shoot with the musically inclined couple, Elizabeth + Stephen. They certainly brought along their talents on this little hiking expedition, as seen here with that magnificent banjo that Stephen could barely take his hands off...

For more breathtaking views from this shoot, check out the sweet feature from the bridal blog Engaged + Inspired right here.

It is a true pleasure to work with alongside with the super talented photographer, Heather, and once again, my [hair] partner in crime, Kellen Eason! Heather's knack for set styling and creating dreamy photos will make you swoon and Kellen, is well, the hair wizard. Keep your eyes peeled for another editorial with this team involving sisters and brides...[with no relation to that um, unique cable network show whatsoever.]

Back II Basics

Four beauties, each one with unique features softly played up with au naturale makeup and frankly, not much else in the wardrobe department. Not only did photographer Choiyee, play director behind the camera, she is also featured in this spread as a model.

Who says you can't do two things at once well?

Stay tuned for these ladies branching out to their "animalistic" side...

RĂªves De Jardin

A rope swing, two massive Irish wolfhounds, vintage furs, an amazing Sarah Seven gown, and an other-worldly location- made this shoot filled to the brim with decadence. But if that got you thinking this was a walk in the park for our model, Kate, just imagine 30mph winds on this cold, blistering winter day. Check out this behind the scenes clip of Kate wrangling her two furry co-stars here. This spread was shot by the talented photographer, John Campbell, whom is also known for his work as a cinematographer for films and the like.

Special thanks to the wolfhounds' owner.
