Makeup Lowdown: Rihanna Rolling Stone Cover February 2013

When I saw these images of Rihanna on the cover of Rolling Stone's February 2013 issue, it furthered my celeb crush on the pop singing beauty. The makeup is clean and simple yet super sexy thanks to the lush falsies and the neutral tones complements her long golden highlights. Here are the steps I would take to get this magazine cover look:
  1. Start with your normal base foundation, concealer, and powder routine.
  2. You may also contour your face with your favorite bronzer.
  3. Fill in your brows with a brow powder shade that is at least two shades lighter than your brows.
  4. Using the neutral eyeshadow palette, sweep the shade closest to your skintone all over the lid and brow bone.
  5. Then take a shade or mix of shades that is about two shades deeper than your skintone, work this color with an angled crease brush into your crease for depth. You may also wet a liner brush with this shade and line your bottom lashline.
  6. Curl your lashes and use a deep black mascara on the top and bottom lashes.
  7. Cut and trim false lashes if necessary and apply to upper lid with lash adhesive.
  8. Then using the liquid eyeliner, carefully line the upper lid. You may also use a regular black pencil liner and line inside your lower inner rim.
  9. Apply layers of a rosey brown blush to your cheekbones and blend well.
  10. Finish with a pinkish nude lipcolor.
Here is a breakdown of the color products I would suggest to replicate this neutral look:
1. MAC #8 False Lashes  2. Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Black  3. Benefit Brow Zings
4. Clinique Colour Surge Eye Shadow Quad in "Teddy Bear"  5. Nars "Douceur" Blush  6. Sephora Collection "Oh My Beige" Color Lip Last Lipstick or Kat Von D Painted Love Lipstick in "Celebutard" if you like a little more color like myself
